    Never Enough

I’m cursed with never being happy with what I have. I always want more.

It happens with just about every aspect of my life. Personal and business, doesn’t really matter much.

    It’s the reason that

    ·         I have built a money making business- I always work hard to make it better

    ·         I’m able to live life (mostly) the way I want- I continuously work on saying yes to the things I want and no to the things I don’t

    ·         I have a lot of material possessions- buy something, replace it with something better, repeat

    It’s also the reason that

    ·         I’m single- I have a hard time settling down with someone, no matter how great they are

    ·         I have insomnia, sometimes- I can’t stop thinking about how to better myself, my business, etc.

    ·         I get depressed- reaching a goal makes me feel like I didn’t set the goal high enough, so I still failed

I’m not bitching. Just throwing this out there in the hopes that some sort of clarification finds its way back to me. Somewhere in the not too distant future is the solution to my little problems.

At least I live in a world that allows me the freedom to have these problems. It could be worse right?

I have to say, you inspire me in a few ways Clint. You're doing well. You get to live your life exactly how you want. Congratulations on that. What I can't understand is "reaching a goal makes me feel like I didn’t set the goal high enough, so I still failed".... Dude. Celebrate your wins. You're more successful than most people out there, and not just financially.

Thanks Jeremy. Let me explain what I mean in a different way-

I do celebrate my wins. I enjoy it fully every time I make a new, successful, deal happen. Then later I think that I can do more. I get a bit bummed thinking that I should set goals higher. So, I increase my goals. Once I meet those the cycle starts over.

It's better than not meeting goals for sure. But, I would appreciate a better balance than I have between the ups and downs.

  • Clint Jolly's Space

My name is Clint Jolly. I’ve lived in Reno, NV my whole life and plan to never move.
I spent the early years of my professional career studying culinary arts and spent many years running a very busy catering business and restaurant.
As of late, I have turned my interests to bigger and better things. My real passion is business development leaning heavily toward marketing and positioning. With my practical background in the foodservice business, that is where I focus most of my energy.

I tend to focus a lot of my time on food, wine and friends and therefore create a lot of things around that. If all works as planned you will see me traveling the world drinking and eating, and sharing it all with you.

I am a man of many interests and do my best to share my thoughts as often as possible. I have recently launched a few different web sites to focus on some of my core interests and I will add more as we go. You can visit my homepage to keep up to date with my activities.
